Description:
"We are not stand-up comedians. Our show is not a passive, sit-back-and-watch experience. Most of the fun we have on stage comes from our inclusion of the audience – we get suggestions from them to begin each scene we perform, and in certain instances, bring them on-stage with us to add to our performance. It's less a ‘show’ and more a party. At least it feels like one to me. This group of actors brings me right back to how I started out in comedy – maybe that's why we have so much fun doing it." – Jim Belushi

With more than thirty years of experience and an alumnus of “Saturday Night Live” and Chicago’s famed "Second City," Jim Belushi is now bringing to the stage an improvised comedy sketch show featuring members of the Chicago Board of Improv.

Belushi starred on the ABC hit comedy "According to Jim,” on which he also served as executive producer, music composer and director. After wrapping 182 episodes for its eighth and final season, the family favorite series also hit a milestone when it launched into off-net syndication in 2007. A favorite of film, television and stage audiences, Belushi is one of the great leading character actors equally at home in drama and comedy, and a gifted performer who can also hold a room as front man of a rhythm and blues band.

With special guests Larry Joe Campbell, Robert Belushi, Megan Grano, Brad Morris, Jon Barinholtz and Josh Funk.

Larry Joe Campbell is excited to be onstage with this super talented cast! And he is ecstatic to be back with Jim again having worked together for 8 seasons on According to Jim.  Since then, Larry has appeared in the movies Hall Pass and Killers and has had recurring roles on Weeds, Rules of Engagement, and Lifetime's The Protector. Larry Joe can be seen this summer in R.I.P.D. with Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon and in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. Larry Joe lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Peggy, and their five children. Larry would like you to know that he loves you. (Yes, you. The one who's reading this.)

Robert Belushi split his formative years between Chicago and Los Angeles, returning to Chicago after graduating from Wesleyan University with an Honors B.A. in Film Studies to work in theater.  After performing at some of the most celebrated theaters in Chicago, most notably Steppenwolf and The Second City, Rob returned to Los Angeles to work in television and film.  Most recently you can see him as a cast member on The Joe Schmo Show on Spike (premiering in January) or as Keith, the town cop on the upcoming Fox comedy, The Goodwin Games.  Rob enjoys most working with his father on stage, but has been lucky to appear with him on According to Jim (ABC), The Defenders (CBS) and as a high school basketball coaching tandem in Thunderstruck (Warner Brothers).

Megan Grano has appeared on TV in Weeds, Parks and Recreation, Hot in Cleveland, Conan, The Great State of Georgia, and American Dad. Film roles include Bridesmaids and This is 40. She is a 2008 alum of The Second City Chicago. She is also an iO Theater alum – where she has performed improv since 1999. She is beyond grateful to be a part of the CBOC.

Brad Morris is a sketch comedian, actor, writer, director and improvisor. An alum of The Second City’s Mainstage, Brad is also a founding member of the long form improvisational groups, The Reckoning and Uncle’s Brother with Tim Meadows.  Brad has appeared in roles on Modern Family, The Office, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The League, Nick Swardson’s Pretendtime, Mash-Up, as well as many national commercials.  He is also a staff writer and actor on the TBS show, Cougartown.  Brad makes funny videos with his friends, like: Almost Pimps, Special Needs, A Certain Breed, The Angriest Taxi Driver in The World, The Blisters: How Four Became Three, and Find Money. See them at funnyordie.com or YouTube.

Born and Raised in Chicago, Jon Barinholtz is a proud Alum of Second City, iO, The Annoyance, and Steppenwolf Theatre. Over the last year you may have caught Jon in various TV guest spots (Parks and Recreation, Happy Endings, Outsourced, Perfect Couples) or performing live with "The Gentlemen's Club with Bob Odenkirk" (San Francisco Sketch Fest, UCB, Second City, iO), "Sheldon" (Second City, iO), "Sad On Vacation" (Groundlings, Comedy Central Stage), and of course as a member of "Jim Belushi and the Chicago Board of Comedy."  Go Bears!

Joshua Funk is proud to be the director and musical director for Jim Belushi and The Chicago Board of Comedy.  He is a multiple Joseph Jefferson Award winning director for The Second City in Chicago.  On television, Joshua was the improvisation director for MTV's long running Wild n' Out.  Online, he directed the viral series "Sassy Gay Friend" and was nominated for a New Now Next award and voted "Top 10 Videos of the Decade" by The Huffington Post.  He is currently the music composer for Comedy Central's hit series "Key & Peele."
